  Arundel Wildfowl and Wetland Centre
  

26 acres of wetland habitat just outside the historic village of Arundel. The centre is set beside the River Arun, in beautiful woodland. The site is a mixture of woodland, reedbeds, and lake habitat. Free electric boat excursions offer visitors an easy way to experience the wildfowl habitat at first hand in the company of an experienced guide. There is also a Wetlands Discovery area where you can see the flora and fauna of the centre up close.

  Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve
  

A huge coastal nature reserve, taking in over 1500 acres of shoreline, including mudflats, reedbeds, saltmarsh, lagoons, and shingle beaches. The harbour was formed when the sea broke through retaining walls built to reclaim low lying coastal areas. The result was a precious habitat for seabirds ranging from waders to wildfowl, with varieties of migratory birds joining native species.

  RSPB Pulborough Nature Reserve
  

A nature reserve set in lovely West Sussex countryside. Hedged paths lead through quiet meadows to several bird hides and viewing platforms. The reserve is best suited to view ducks, geese and swans in winter, and wading birds, nightingales, warblers in spring.
