The Ship in Dock is an old riverside inn that was recently refurbished to a very high standard and now offers luxury accommodation.
The bedrooms are furnished in solid oak and have the extras you would expect of a top hotel such as Kingsize beds, Superking feather and down quilts, Egyptian cotton, flatscreen TVDVD and some of the best river views in Dartmouth.
The bathrooms are period in style, but encompass the best in bathing technology.
The Egyptian cotton towels add to the feeling of comfort and luxury.
The Ship in Dock Inn was originally built in 1656.
It occupies a prominent position overlooking Coronation park and the river Dart and there are stunning views from all rooms.
The Ship has for over 100 years been an establishment favoured by the officers, cadets and staff of Britannia Royal Naval College and we are very proud of that relationship.

Directions
Via A38 Exeter to Plymouth From the M5 (J31), follow the A38 towards Plymouth. After 19 miles, turn left onto the A384 to Totnes. On entering Totnes, turn right at the first set of traffic lights onto the A381 to Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. Follow this for 6 miles to Halwell and turn left onto the A3122 to Dartmouth. Follow the road into Dartmouth and the river will be visible at the bottom of the hill. Follow the road so the river is on your left and the park is on your right. At the end of the park, turn right and you will immediately see The Ship in Dock Inn. Approximate travel time from J31 of the M5 is 50 minutes.
