staying in a larger hotel. In many cases you will be a guest
in the owner's private home.
Kings Lynn Heritage Snapshot
The name 'King's Lynn' is of relatively recent vintage. The town was originally part of a manor owned by the Bishop of Norwich, and was known, logically, as 'Bishop's Lynn'. When Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries in the 16th century, the crown took possession of the manor, and the name changed to 'King's Lynn' to reflect its change of ownership.
