One of the most awe-inspiring valleys in the Cheviot Hills , and some say the most unspoilt. This tranquil and open valley provides walking routes to the Cheviot summit, the Schill, Red Cribs and Pennine Way . Cheviot View is a delightful bed & breakfast, which is well positioned in the heart of the market town Wooler. Known as "The Gateway to the Cheviots" Wooler has excellent opportunities for Walking and many other activities including fishing, tennis, rock climbing, cycling, horse riding & site seeing. There is also a friendly golf course which welcomes golf enthusiasts for 9 or 18 holes (depending on how energetic you are feeling!) Wooler is an excellent base for a holiday. The foothills with their quiet back-roads and bridleways are ideal for cycling and riding. Within a short car journey you can be on the magnificent Heritage coastline of North Northumberland with it's spectacular scenery of Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, Lindisfarne, Seahouses and the famous Farne Islands. Alnwick Gardens and of course the Scottish Borders are all within easy travelling distance from Wooler on uncluttered country roads.
