Lovely Easter break
We have just returned from a lovely 3 day break at Sea Breakers Cottage. We have 10 year old twins and a cocker spaniel and the cottage was just perfect for our stay. It appears to have been recently modernised and it really is nicely presented. It has a small area to the rear but a big open public grassed area to the front which was handy for the kids to play on. The owners provide everything you need here eg washing up stuff, bin bags, toilet rolls, tea and coffee and some lovely biscuits, although apart from the biscuits we did take our own items. The cottage was big enough for us all and the beds were very comfortable with a double bed and bunk beds. The shower was lovely as too was the kitchen. There are information leaflets, books and DVDs to watch. In terms of location it's perfect just a 5 min walk to the country park, the town centre and the beach. We loved Filey beach as it was quiet enough to let the dog off and relax without him getting too distracted! We also travelled to Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough. In the evenings we went to the Cobblers Arms micropub which welcomed children and dogs, giving them sweets and doggy biscuits each night. We usually sat in the back room and played board games then had a take away of some kind back at the cottage. Parking is limited but we always found an on street space All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our break here and the cottage was perfect for us. I hope people respect it and keep it as nice as it is today. We will hopefully return for another break here in the near future. Thank you
