The Queens Head is an historic 17th Century Coaching Inn, situated in the Troutbeck Valley, just 3 miles from Windermere.
Throughout the inn are solid oak beams, stone flag floors and heartwarming log fires by which you can enjoy a deserved drink, ordered from the bar which was once an Elizabethan four-poster bed from a room in Appleby Castle.
Hotel guests home comforts are very much of this century.
The bedrooms are all non-smoking and are tastefully furnished with en-suite bathrooms, colour televison and tea and coffee making facilities.

Directions
From the M6 come off at junction 36 onto the A591 towards Windermere and Ambleside. After the turning for Windermere you will reach a mini roundabout. Take the 3rd exit onto the A592 to Ullswater/Patterdale/Kirkstone Pass. The hotel is situated on the left hand side about 3 miles along (just past Limefitt Park).
