Inspected by the English Tourist Council and Visit Britain for quality assurance (4-star Guest House Award 2007), our small, cosy establishment provides a high standard of service and accommodation for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
We take pride in our warm, friendly atmosphere and extra tasty home-cooked breakfasts, whether full English, vegetarian or even a lighter alternative - our aim is to give guests that 'home from home' feel.

Only a minute from the numerous shops, restaurants and pubs of Windermere; a mere 5 minute walk from the railway and coach station; and only a pleasant 15 minute stroll to the beautiful Lake Windermere.
Although Cambridge House does not have a car park, parking is available on the road.
Please note that the Cambridge House is a guest house. Whilst very high standards are offered, it is important to remember that it is not a hotel. Cambridge House offers home-from-home comfort in service and room sizes. Please note that guests staying for 2 nights or more receive free unlimited use of Parklands Country Club: the leisure facilities indicated as available are at Parklands, with windsurfing and other water-sports available at the lake. Although Cambridge House is in a town centre location, 5-minutes in either direction bring you to heart-stopping beauty and breathtaking views. Though the guest house does not have a car park, parking permits for safe on-road parking can be provided (subject to availability).
