Westwell

As you might deduce from the name, the small village of Westwell is home to the most westerly well in Oxfordshire. The Knights Hospitallers once held the 12th-century church of St Mary. The font and rafters are Norman, as is the east rose window. Near the altar is an early 17th-century tomb of Richard Thorneton.
