Built in the 1800's out of Portland with beams throughout, Anchor Cottage is centrally located on Portland in the original part of Weston, overlooking the village green. A good place for many walks around the island. A couple of minutes walk away is a restaurant, public house, fish and chips shop, convenience shops and a bus stop. Portland is steeped in history and along with its rugged beauty is a wonderful place, especially if you enjoy watersports and outdoor pursuits. Dorset itself has many castles, gardens, museums, family theme parks, beaches and picturesque country and coastal walks.
