Photos of Michaelchurch, St MichaelsSt Michaels, Michaelchurch, is a lonely little church which dates from the late 11th century. There are some very interesting medieval wall paintings, but the pride of Michaelchurch is a Roman altar, which dates to between the 3rd and 5th century.

This Roman altar stands in the blocked up north doorway of the nave. It has ben dated to the 3rd to 5th century. |
