Ingredients
1 large onion
stewing steak
potatoes
2 carrots
5 Oxo cubes


DIRECTIONS
Chop onion and brown in pan with meat
add water and oxo cubes
simmer for 2 hours or till meat tender
boil potatos till almost soft add to meat and onion
transfer to large pie dish and add a bit of stock to stop drying out
cover with home made pastry shortcrust or puff [preferance]
bake till golden brown
with left over stock thicken with cornflour
serve with favourite vegies
yum!

COMMENTS:
My mum's recipe, add more Oxo if you think it needs it; dont be afraid - the more the better!
