This property is situated on the edge of the village of Compton Dundon in the heart of the Somerset countryside and yet is less than five miles away from two very different towns both of which make interesting places for day visits. The town of Street is home to the Clarks shopping village and is a mecca for bargain-hunting shoppers who will love browsing the factory outlet stores. Meanwhile the historic town of Glastonbury has a range of quirky shops independent eateries and is home to the peaceful Chalice Well Gardens and the atmospheric ruins of Glastonbury Abbey said to be the final resting place of King Arthur.

As soon as guests arrive at this property they will immediately be able to see just how much thought has been out into creating a very special place to stay. The oak frame which supports the building has very much been made a feature of the property with exposed beams and huge windows giving the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner an imposing feeling of grandeur. The lounge area has a range of comfortable seating which has been arranged so as to make the most of the views across the large gardens and also relax with a good film on the TV/DVD.

At the other end of this spacious room the bespoke kitchen is equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge dishwasher and washing machine. Towards the rear of this space close to the kitchen area there is a set of twin beds which provide an extra sleeping space making this property suitable for up to four guests. The bright bathroom with a shower-over-bath and WC is also located on the ground floor whilst the double bedroom is situated on a mezzanine level which is accessed via open-tread wooden stairs.

There are skylight windows here which make it possible to lie in bed and look at the stars but guests should be aware that the room does have a certain degree of reduced head-height. Outside there is a spacious lawned garden for guests to enjoy within which the owners have provided garden furniture and a BBQ making it easy to enjoy alfresco meals in this peaceful location. There is ample off-road parking available.
