This countryside cottage is the perfect holiday destination for those who love the great outdoors with the local area providing many opportunities for swimming surfing cycling and walking. Perfectly situated to visit some of Cornwall s finest beaches with golden sand which stretches for miles. The picturesque harbour village of Port Isaac recognisable as the location for the TV series Doc Martin is just seven miles away.
For the more adventurous nearby you can find Tintagel known for its connections to King Arthur Boscastle Polzeath and Rock. From Rock visitors can catch the foot ferry across the estuary to Padstow Cornwall s food capital best known for its links to the TV chef Rick Stein. Arriving at this property guests will immediately be impressed at grandeur of the cottage.
Built in 1840 this carefully renovated property has been extensively updated and given a stylish and contemporary edge. Enter through the porch with its church pew seating and discover the spacious lounge with bi-folding doors which allow access to a patioed area which overlooks the lawns. There is a TV and DVD here as well as a cosy wood burner which keeps the room lovely and warm in the winter months while the original slate flagstone floor makes for an attractive period feature.
A basket of logs is supplied so that guests can make the most of the warming wood burner. The kitchen/diner is more than just a place to prepare and serves as a second social space especially when the patio doors are opened extending the area out into the grounds. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave.
A large cupboard houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. As well as the large farmhouse dining table there is also a seating area here with a second TV. Two of the property s bedrooms are situated on the ground floor.
The first a twin which can be made up as a super-king on request. This room has doors with access to the garden and an en-suite bathroom with a bath separate shower heated towels and WC; this bathroom can also be reached from the kitchen. The second ground-floor bedroom is a double with en-suite WC and wash basin.
The master bedroom suite can be found on the first floor a large sunny double which not only has an en-suite shower room with WC but also its own seating area desk and TV as well as doors which open out onto a large glass-fronted balcony with seating. Outside the property has a large patio area which is accessed from the lounge kitchen and one of the ground-floor bedrooms with seating and gas BBQ. Beyond this are extensive lawns a garage for storing beach equipment bicycles kayaks etc.
and parking for up to four cars.
