It is surrounded by open fields which lead directly onto the Camel Trail a popular route for both walkers and cyclists. The town of Padstow is just a short drive away and is a must-see for those who want to explore the local cuisine.
Perhaps the town s most famous resident is the chef Rick Stein who has made Padstow the base for his extensive business including cookery school brasserie deli and fish and chip shop. There is an interesting lobster hatchery here too as well as boat trips across the neighbouring town of Rock with its beach cafes and bars. Occupying the main wing of this stunning Georgian house this grand property makes a lovely place in which to enjoy a break away from everyday life.
The lounge has comfortable seating a TV DVD and an flame-effect electric fire which makes the room nice and cosy in the cooler months. The kitchen/diner is spacious and well-appointed with a range cooker microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine. On the lower-ground floor guests will enjoy the addition of a snooker room with a full-sized snooker table a fun place to spend an evening; please note children must be supervised in this room.
To the first floor there are four bedrooms: two doubles each with a four-poster bed with views across to the Camel Estuary and two twins. The property has a bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC and an additional shower room with WC both of which are located on the first floor. Outside the property benefits from an enclosed garden with both lawned and patio areas with seating and BBQ while a gravel drive to the front of the property provides parking for several cars.
The real highlight here is that guests have shared access to the owner s heated outdoor swimming pool from mid-May to September which even has a separate shallow end suitable for children.
