This museum, located at the Peninsula Barracks, tells the story of the Gurkha's two centuries of service to the British Crown. Through a series of outstandingly lifelike dioramas and life-sized models, the museum takes you on a journey through the moving history of these brave fighters.
From India's northwest frontier to the Indian Mutiny, from WWII to the Falklands conflict, the history of the Gurkha is told in striking detail. In addition to the historical displays, there are extensive exhibits of medals, weapons, and photographs. You can also find every medal earned by a Gurkha soldier, and where in the world it was earned.
