Isle of Skye Newsletter

I get a lot of newsletters from various tourist boards and regional websites. Some are pretty innocuous - making me wonder why they bother sending it out in the first place. Some are really compelling, and make me wish I was visiting that location. One of the ones that definitely falls into the latter category is the newsletter sent out by www.skye.co.uk, the official website for Skye, Lochalsh, and Raasay. I always look forward to receiving it, and perk up when I see it arrive in my in-box.

Every newsletter has intriguing competitions and special offers, and news of events in the area. The most recent featured a DVD giveaway, a competition to win a spring break for 2, and another competition to win a specially produced bottle of Talisker whiskey.

Its not just the competitions of course, but the prospect of winning a week-long break on Skye certainly got my attention, and its the sort of thing that gets me making return visits to the website. As for the website, it is extremely thorough, with plenty of information on places to see and good coverage of walks on Skye.
