A short walk from the cloisters leads you to Green Court, where the major buildings of King's School ring a large green. The school can make a good claim to being the oldest in Britain, dating back to the first school founded here by St Augustine himself to train monks. Many of the buildings are reused from the medieval priory after it was dissolved by Henry VIII.
