This former family home is located deep in the Devon countryside. Set in acres of farmland guests will enjoy privacy and seclusion but also be able to experience everything the local area has to offer. The town of Okehampton is a couple of miles away and has shops pubs and restaurants.
Okehampton Castle the town s indoor leisure complex and Okehampton Golf Club are all worth a visit. Fishing enthusiasts and walkers will both enjoy the reservoirs at Meldon and Roadford while cyclists can ride the Granite Cycle Way which runs through the middle of the farm. Horse-riding can be arranged through the nearby stables.
Other local attractions include Lydford Gorge Morwellham Quay Castle Drogo Buckland Abbey and Crealy Adventure Park. Inside the house the large main lounge features a TV and DVD with heating provided by a wood burner. A second lounge also has a TV DVD player games and a wood burner-effect electric fire.
The spacious dining room features a huge dining table to seat up to 12 people and a wood burner in a feature restored oven. The light and airy kitchen is equipped with a double electric oven microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The utility area has a washing machine tumble dryer additional deep freezer and space to leave dirty boots and wet clothing.
There is also a downstairs shower room with WC. The first floor is accessed by two staircases each located at either end of the house. There are two spacious king-size bedrooms with TV and en-suite bathrooms (one with sofa bed) one double with an extra single bed and 3 twin bedrooms.
The bathroom has a bath and WC. Outside the house is an enclosed walled garden with garden furniture. At the front and side of the property is a large lawn garden for playing football cricket and other games.
Guests have use of a games barn featuring table tennis and table football plus storage for bikes. There is also a small shallow stream running at the end of the garden. Ample parking is available for guests.
