This property is located in a superb elevated position in the town of Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast. The convenient location of the property means that many of the town s attractions are within walking distance including the interesting aquarium the unusual Tunnels Beach and the historic harbour. The town boasts a range of shops as well as a wide choice of eateries including a well-regarded seafront restaurant owned by the artist Damien Hirst who has also chosen the town as the home for his impressive sculpture of the female warrior Verity brandishing her sword over her head as she protects the town s harbour.
Guests enter this property through the porticoed front door an attractive reminder of the property s grand history as a sea captain s residence. The property s spacious lounge/kitchen/diner is a beautiful space where an impressive floor-to-ceiling bay window offers stunning views to the sea below. Guests will also find a TV/DVD and a warming wood burner in the lounge area as well as comfortable sofas to relax on.
A wide archway leads through to the kitchen/diner where a dining table is positioned in the window so as to make the most of the breath-taking views. The kitchen area itself has everything that guests will need to make themselves at home including an oven hob microwave large fridge freezer dishwasher and a hi-fi. There is a separate utility room which houses the washing machine and a handy additional sink.
The property has two bedrooms the first of these is a stylish king-size room with large windows and a contemporary en-suite bathroom with whirlpool bath handheld shower and WC. The second bedroom is a cosy twin room near to which guests will find a shower room with WC. Guests will love the outside space that this property has to offer- an attractive terraced patio with uninterrupted sea views.
The owners have provided a table and chairs so guests can enjoy alfresco meals or perhaps drinks whilst contemplating the magnificent sunsets. (please take care with children).
