This property is located within the Furzebray Carp Lakes complex which is surrounded by wooded countryside. Although it feels very quiet and rural the property is only one mile from the market town of South Molton where visitors will find a tempting chocolate factory a heritage museum and the Quince Honey Farm home to a large exhibition of honey bees allowing visitors to look right inside the hives as well as a cafe and a children s soft play area. Further afield Exmoor National Park is easily accessible and just a few miles a north of the property offering scenic walks and cycle ways which lead right down to the Somerset coast.
For many a trip to the West Country would be incomplete without a trip to the beach and the two mile wide stretch of sand at Westward Ho! is within an easy thirty minute drive of the property. This lodge-style accommodation is accessed via three external steps which lead to the private veranda from which guests enter the open-plan living area which comprises a lounge/kitchen/diner. Here guests can make themselves immediately at home on the comfortable sofas which are arranged in front of the stylish stainless steel woodburner.
There is also Smart TV in this area as well as views across the surrounding grounds. Behind the lounge area the kitchen/diner has a table seating four and a contemporary kitchen with everything guests will need including an oven and hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine. The property s two bedrooms both have a light and airy feel with wooden floors and tasteful pine furniture.
The first of these is a king-size room with an en-suite shower room and WC whilst the second room is a delightful twin. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. Outside there are two raised patio areas one just off the lounge and the other off the dining area one of which has a table and chairs a BBQ and relaxing loungers.
Beyond this there is a lovely woodland garden and of course the lakes themselves. There is also a storage shed available for boots outdoor clothes fishing equipment etc. Ample parking is provided right outside the lodge.
The lodge is set away from the main farmhouse on the south side of the lake carefully positioned to ensure maximum privacy. A carp lake is available at a discounted rate for guests wishing to fish (Visit www.furzeburylakes.
co.uk for more information) while a small ornamental lake with lakeside garden and woodland garden all make for an idyllic morning or sunset walk.
