Enjoyable Stay
Mallard cottage is well located being 10 /15 mins walk from Whitby Harbour. Its was very clean, homely and well equipped with quality kichen appliances However the king matteress needs replacing as uncomfortable (lumps and bumps) and is sunken in the middle causing roll together (we are not big people) Also the TV/DVD is poor quality with limited channels. The proximity to the school was not an issue for us as the buses arrive around 8:30am and we were up by then. However we had a bin collection on the Tuesday morning at 6:30am ( Green waste) then again on Wednesday morning at 6:30am ( general waste) Then again on the Friday morning for whatever reason again at 6:30am! The bins are placed under the window of the downstairs bedroom maybe moving them to nearer the site entrance would help. This being said we had a enjoyable stay and would return Thank you

Great location with parking
The cottage was exactly as depicted, in a great location - just a short walk from Whitby town. So much to see and do in Whitby we will need to visit again.

Hi stayed at mallard cottage from the 9th March for 3 nights. A great location and a lovely cottage with plenty of parking. The only downside was the bed extremely hard and uncomfortable with the springs popping all night. Would recommend a stay here IF they update the very old mattresses. After all if you don't get a good night sleep it can spoil your day.

Mallard was a lovely cottage with beautiful views. We found it very clean and with quality decor and facilities. It was in a perfect location; about ten minutes from Whitby centre. Would not hesitate in recommending this property.
