hope Cove is a lovely secluded village blessed with a smooth stretch of sandy beach, perfect for family outings. Hope Cove (sometimes simply called "Hope") is reached by way of very narrow winding lanes from the A381 Salcombe to Kingsbridge road.
The oldest part of the town, called Inner Hope, clusters around the beach and slipway for boat launches. Several thatched cottages make this a very pretty sight indeed. Rising up the hillside above the beach is Outer Hope, a popular residential area with newer houses.
The South West Coast Path runs through the village and gives access to the tiny church, perched on a cliff above the beaches. There is a small car park (not free) halfway up the road from Inner Hope.
