A small village near Horsham, famous as the birthplace of poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who was born in 1792 at Field Place, a large house on the edge of the village. Though many of the Shelley clan are remembered in the local church, there is no memorial to Percy.

An attractive village set in beautiful countryside. Wisborough Green has a superb medieval church, dedicated to St Peter ad Vincula. The oldest part of the church appears Norman, though one theory has it that the building was originally a Saxon castle keep that was later expanded into a church.
