Wales Open Doors Preview
Posted: 2010-06-27Open Doors is a special event which offers free access to properties of historic and architectural importance. Taking place across three September weekends they are part of the wider European Heritage Days programme. The Welsh event is similar to the very popular Heritage Days event that has been such a hit in England the past few years, and there are separate programmes in Scotland, Northern Ireland, London (and England).
Entrance is free to all events in the programme. Organisers may occasionally charge for a special additional attraction or for an associated event outside the Open Doors programme. The Open Door programme is organised by The Civic Trust for Wales.
The full programme of Open Days venues has not yet been finalised, but we do have a sneak peek at some of the venues that we know will be participating in this year's Open Days in various places across Wales. Maybe there's something near you?
