Gardens in the Scottish Borders
Bughtrig Garden is a lovely early-20th-century garden surrounding a 1780s mansion, itself built on the site of a medieval castle. The garden uses hedges to create individual garden areas sheltered by specimen trees. One of those garden areas is dedicated to Admiral Sir Bertram Ramsay, the current owner's grandfather.
