The Story Behind the Image - Loch Tay at Dawn
Morning light over Loch Tay at Kenmore, Perthshire, looking towards Ben Lawers. I was staying for a wonderful week of photography at Dull (which isn't dull at all) near Aberfeldy.
The weather wasn't great, but on this particular morning I got up early and saw that the clouds had parted and the sky was clear.
I jumped into my car and drove as quickly as I dared to Kenmore, on the eastern end of Loch Tay. There's a parking area directly beside a small beach at the end of the loch.
As I set up my tripod I noticed another photographer do the same. Great minds think alike. This was the result - a wonderful look down the loch. What a glorious location!
What I recall most about this photo (aside from the beauty of the scene) was how freezing cold my camera was to hold on the frosty autumn morning!
