Conwy Falls is one of the most popular and scenic waterfalls in Snowdonia. The falls are not located near the historic town of Conwy, as the name might suggest, but just east of Betws-y-Coed, in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.

A series of three beautiful waterfalls tumble down a steeply wooded gorge in the south-western corner of Snowdonia National Park. A pleasant one-mile circular walk links the waterfalls. The Talyllyn steam railway runs past the start of the walk.

Porth Oer is a beautiful secluded beach on the Lleyn Peninsula near Aberdaron. The beach is known as the Whistling Sands because the sand can make a peculiar squealing or whistling noise when you step on it. There are excellent coastal walks from the beach.
