A wee gem of a cottage
The cottage sits in a very quiet tree lined lane and is only 5 minutes away from the town centre of Nairn. It's beautifuly kept and so clean and fresh. Really well equipped dining kitchen, cosy little living room with woodburner and nice big TV and various games etc. Bedrooms are bright with loads of cupboard and drawer space and great bed comfort. There's a lovely private garden too with seating, gazebo and gas bbq. Parking for 2 cars. The owner lives next door but does not interfere, he even left us flowers and freshly baked scones and was so helpful. Would certainly recommend the place it's lovely.

Superb cottage with owners that go the extra mile
Miserable weather on day of arrival but mood immediately lifted by the quality of the accomodation. Cosy lounge with wood burning stove and an array of board games, DVDs and information leaflets. Extra downstairs bathroom very welcome with two kids! Bedrooms are bright and airy with Velux windows and kitchen/dining room very spacious and well-equipped. Little extras like the 'welcome pack' of milk, tea, coffee, sugar and home-made jam and scones make this a cut above. The cottage is in a great location, not far from the town centre and with a Co-Op and playing field/small play area just around the corner. Ample parking and a very pleasant separate garden opposite. Highly recommended.

excellent stay
This is a lovely cottage, nicely decorated, located in a lane just off main road into Nairn just a few mins away and it also is the main road for Inverness. The cottage has a good sized kitchen, owner friendly (next door)and nice welcome pack provided. There is a small co-op store very handily nearby.Nairn itself has a lovely beach and a nice restaurant called Sundancer on front. We stayed first week in July and weather was lovely which enhanced the holiday and the beautiful highlands. This is an ideal place to stay for whatever type of holiday/break and good base for getting to the numerous historical sites and other attractions.Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage
Stunning cottage in a perfect location for exploring the Highlands. We stayed here for a week and didn't want to leave! The owners provided a welcome pack for our arrival which was a very nice touch. The cottage had all the home comforts required. Highly recommended holiday home.

Delightful and comfortable cottage with lovely touches
We enjoyed our break in Nairn very much. We were out sightseeing mostly every day and Deskford Cottage was lovely to come back to. Because of the aspect the cottage, the garden gets sunshine most of the day, so it was lovely to have morning tea, or an evening glass of wine enjoying the sun's rays.
A delightful welcome basket including home made bread and jam was waiting in the kitchen. A most comprehensive instruction book giving details of how to work systems and appliance, and lots of booklet information for the area was available together with a personalised introductory letters from owners Phill and Karen Stuart.....thank you both for the big part you played in our very enjoyable holiday.
The cottage itself was very clean and very comfortable.
