Batemans is an excellent three storey, Cotswold cottage in the heart of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. It is a stylish and luxuriously furnished cottage, which has many features and furnishings to make your stay a pleasant one. Inside there is an open-plan living room and dining area with a gas fire, as well as a fitted kitchen.
Upstairs has one twin bedroom, one single bedroom and one king-size bedroom with an en suite shower room and WC. There is a first floor family bathroom and WC. There is an enclosed rear garden area with a table and chairs provided.
The property also has the benefit of off street parking for two cars. Batemans is perfect for families.

Comfy
We stayed here for a week. The cottage is comfortable. Really good beds! However, the small bedroom has no storage for clothes at all, even though you could fit a small chest of drawers in there. Even a hanging rail would have been better than nothing. We found the kitchen rather small and not all that well equipped. Parking was adequate but the lane to the cottage is very narrow. We did not really like the area it was situated, with a working man's club just along from it. We saw a few people outside drinking and smoking every evening. Also, speaking of smoke, the cottage opposite had a log burner which they lit every day, even though it was during a heatwave. Smoke from their chimney permeated the cottage if we left windows open. Gave us headaches. The cottage is full of stairs. You need to be fit to get up to the master bedroom! Despite the niggles, we did enjoy our stay and Nailsworth proved a good base for us. Also...the caretakers, Alison and Howard were really helpful to us during our stay. If you don't mind lots of stairs, and a bit of wood smoke, it is a nice, comfy cottage. But take your own tin opener!!
