A rare surviving 17th-century mechanical decoy set in a nature reserve with rare animal breeds. The National Trust gives regular demonstrations of how the decoy, including a dummy human, and dog, were used to lure ducks. There are a nature trail and an exhibition centre on site.

Ford End Watermill is a restored, working watermill dating to at least 1787. Ford End is the only working watermill in Buckinghamshire to retain its original machinery. One unusual feature at Ford end is a sheepwash in the tailrace. Sheep were washed here before being sheared, as clean wool could demand a high price.

In the heart of the pretty village of Chalfont St Giles stands this attractive 16th-century cottage that was the home of poet John Milton. It was here that Milton completed his great work, Paradise Lost. The ground floor of the house is now a museum relating Milton and his times.

The King's Head Hotel is a historic inn with royal associations. The inn dates to the mid 15th century, and it was here that Henry VI and Margaret of Anjou spent a part of their honeymoon, a fact that is commemorated in the stained glass of the mullioned front window. Later, Henry VIII visited the King's Head while he was wooing Anne Boleyn.

Pitstone Windmill is one of the earliest examples in Britain of a windmill. Pitstone may date to the late 16th century and was built to a post mill design. The mill, set in the attractive Chiltern countryside, has been fully restored. It stands directly on the Ridgeway Trail long-distance footpath on the edge of the parish boundary between Pitstone and Ivinghoe villages.
