Browsholme is an early Tudor house with the addition of a Regency wing. Within the house are a collection of portraits, weapons, armour, and antiquities. In local dialect, Brownholme is pronounced 'Brewsom', and it has been the home of the Parker family since it was built in 1507.

A jewel of an Elizabethan House featuring opulent interiors. Gawthorpe was built between 1600-1605 around a medieval pele, or fortified tower house. The architect responsible was probably Robert Smythson, and Gawthorpe bears more than a passing resemblance to Smythson's triumphant work at Hardwick Hall.

Records show that Adam D'Avranches had a fortified manor house here in 1246. The present owner of Leighton Hall is descended from D'Avranches, through 26 generations, though the house has been sold twice during its long history.

Lytham Hall is an elegant Georgian manor house set in 78 acres of garden and parkland on the edge of Lytham St Annes. The history of the site goes back long before the attractive Georgian house, however. In the 12th century, a local man named Richard FitzRoger was in danger of death before he was taken to a local church dedicated to St Cuthbert.

An exceptional 14th-century timber-framed manor house on the banks of the River Ribble. The first house at Samlesbury was built by the D'Ewyas family sometime prior to 1300. That house was sacked and burned by Robert the Bruce and his invading Scots after the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.
