Woodpecker is a semi detached, ground floor cottage in the grounds of High Head Sculpture Valley, on the owner's dairy farm in the Ive Valley, just 13 miles from Penrith. The cottage sleeps four people and has a double and a twin en-suite bedrooms and an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room with a woodburner. Outside the cottage is plenty of off road parking and a small garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue.
With its neighbouring cottage, Woodpecker can sleep a total of six people and makes a superb base for exploring this glorious part of the country.

This was my third time at this location, I find it good for touring the area and visiting Penrith, the local town. One is always made welcome and the cottage being next to the owners farm is ideal.

In a lovely location with plenty of walking in the immediate area. Handy for Carlisle and Penrith for days out, or as somewhere to just relax for the week. Have been here twice and hopefully will be back again. Have no hesitation in recommending Woodpecker Cottage for anyone considering a holiday in this area.
