The charming sailing town of Instow is just 5 minutes away by car and boasts a sandy beach selection of independent shops restaurants and pubs as well as a pretty promenade and popular sailing club. Across the estuary the small fishing village of Appledore offers an eclectic selection of galleries and cafes.

Other popular attractions nearby include Tapeley House and Gardens The Milky Way and Westward Ho! Inside the accommodation boasts exposed beams stone flooring and original lead windows. The kitchen is bright and airy with a high ceiling and skylight. Here you will find an electric oven and hob fridge with small freezer compartment and microwave.

Once prepared enjoy meals in the dining area that sits in the window next door before retreating to the cosy lounge area for the evening. With exposed beams and ceiling trusses above and a stone fireplace with electric effect woodburner at one end this is a homely space in which to relax and enjoy the TV/DVD. The cottage has two bedrooms: one king-size bedroom on the ground floor with an additional Z bed and one twin bedroom found on the first floor. Outside there is a shared garden with plenty of lawn space garden furniture and a BBQ ideal for al fresco meals. A shared laundry room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer should you need to do laundry during your stay.

Guests are also invited to feed the resident chickens. Ample off-road parking is available.
