4 Days of Bliss
What can I say!!!!
A beautiful cottage, well and truly set up to please anyone that stays here.
All the rooms are a pleasure to be in.
The kitchen and lounge area is gorgeous. The bedroom was lovely and the double bed was very comfortable. Everything you need for a comfortable chill out time is at this Cottage.
Brilliant warmth from the radiators on cold January days, a log fire for even more comfort, underfloor heating in the shower and toilet area, wow!!!!. A hot tub in the garden area which was so refreshing this morning, with the sun shining and a hard frost in the fields opposite to the cottage.
Plenty of information concerning areas of the Lake District for walks, etc, is available for you to read and digest at this Cottage.
Brilliant place to stay. Very glad that we stayed here.

Weeks stay
Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay, it was such a lovely little cozy cottage. The hot tub was lovely & relaxing, it took a little while to warm up (but this is mentioned in the guide book and just takes a-bit of patience). The location was just stunning! So different from the busy usual life at home, it is on a road with some traffic but didn't bother us at all given the lovely surrounding views. The wine and recommendations in the guide book were welcomed. All in all lovely trip away and would 100% recommend!!

Lovely, but could be great.
The Cottage is decorated to a high standard, with a modern fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The underfloor heating was nice and hot. Nice touch to have a pint of milk waiting for us (and a bottle of red wine).
The hot tub was great and nice to sit on the decking having a coffee in the sun, although the man came to check after we had been there for two days?. The owners supplied plenty of towels, so you dont need to bring any. Tea towels, toilet role and kitchen cleaning stuff provided, which was a pleasant surprise.
The only downside is the dog friendly approach. Not the owners fault, but clearly some customers have had their dogs on the settee as it smelt badly. When we arrived it smelt very doggy for a few days. The rug in front was worse, so we removed it up onto the mezzanine area for the week.
A few more coats hooks by the door would be useful, especially if you come back wet. There is a cupboard in the bedroom containing the cleaning stuff, again it smelt so we removed the mop and clothes and put them outside. To have a storage room in the bedroom was odd, and you could smell it whilst in bed. Maybe having storage outside would be better and this could be converted into more storage space.
I am being picky, but if you are not a dog person, this could ruin your week and you would probably need to give it a miss. Not the owners fault, so a message to all you other renters, please abide by the rules and make it 100% for all, just because you have your dog on the settee, doesn't mean you can do it here.

Okay
No DVD player. Spa pool not serviced after previous guests until the Monday, had already used it 3 times. Freezer door broken so could not use. No Netflix or Now T.V. Owner told us to use own account. We didn't have these accounts. Cleaning cupboard in bedroom. Unpleasant smell.Continuous car or foot traffic right by windows as in a caravan park access.

The Lodge was superb and of course relaxing in the hot tub after some excellent walks was the highlight of the days end. Would certainly recommend this to all.
