Very comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful surroundings and John/Jan are excellent hosts. Hope to visit again next year.

Short holiday break
We stayed at Holly Lodge. It is excellent there is everything you need at the lodge. It tastefully furnished. John and Jan the owners cannot do enough for you and they are very helpful. My sister is in a wheelchair and it was perfect for her. There are so many places to visit Appleby its self is a lovely place. There are so many places to visit, the lakes, Yorkshire and Hadrians Wall. We visited a wildlife park while we were there it was lovely. Grasmere is also a lovely place to visit.I would have no hesitation of recommending both Holly Lodge and Appleby in Westmorland you can also take your pets. Look for the rabbits running round the garden, also an abundance of lovely birds and not to forget the red squirrel,

Friendly and very obliging hosts making our holiday very enjoyable.Beautiful accommodation with every home comfort not forgetting our two dogs enjoying themselves immensely. I have recommended this holiday let and would certainly return.
