Idyllic cottage by the sea...
Our family had such an amazing and relaxing stay at Ailsa Shores. Debbie and Andrew were the perfect hosts, going above and beyond with incredibly useful information in their Welcome Pack. So many useful tips and tricks about nearby pubs and restaurants, things to do and see, and everything we needed to enjoy the cottage to its fullest. To then find a Welcome Hamper on arrival, just took our host's impressive hospitality to another level. And when it comes to the cottage - wow! They have done an incredible job in converting and modernising this "old cottage by the sea." Beautiful decor, top-notch facilities, and a wonderful environment for our family to spend the weekend in. Fantastic views to enjoy over the sea, as you sit in the conservatory at the end of the cottage. This location must be a dream for any golfers out there, as you literally just walk down the hill to the impressive Turnberry golf course. Not being golfers ourselves, we instead enjoyed walks down to the little harbour, and trips to the nearby towns of Ayr, Girvan, and you have the impressive Culzean Castle right on your doorstep too. And then even at the point where the Scottish weather did its best to throw a storm at us, it was lovely to shelter from it inside such a cosy and comforting cottage with the family playing cards in the dining room or watching a movie on the big TV. Wonderful place Wonderful hosts Wonderful time
