Perfect property and location!
What a house it smelt so clean on arrival we also got left tea coffee sugar some washing up liquid and spare bin bags which was great! The kitchen was also spotless. All the rooms were spacious our favourite spot to sit was on the sofa in the dinning room, if you went into the lounge there was a tv and a basket of leaflets and maps so you could have a flick through. All the bathrooms were spotless and with the towels provided on your beds it was a lovely touch. PARKING - You do have to park on the road as it is a cottage but we never found that a problem there were always lots of spaces and we always managed to get one right outside. DOGS - Although you can take dogs there was no doggy smell at all, we took our 2 poodles the back yard is well secured so no need to worry about your furry friends, There was also a stair gate provided so when shut the dogs had the run of the kitchen, dinning room and yard which is plenty of room they also kindly provided small dog bowels. PARK - As you come out of the front door if you look slightly to your right you will see a big field this is perfect to walk the dogs with the locals walking over there too, At the top of this field is a nice big new park recently opened in 2021 and also a skate park if I remember rightly! LOCATION - Location was perfect about a 15-20 minute walk from the house to lake Windermere but it took us a while to realise this because we were so busy looking around at the beautiful houses and scenery we never noticed. The way we went to lake Windermere was you come out of the house did a left walked to the end of the road did a right and followed it to the bottom then there are sign posts to the first part of the little village and set of shops then if you followed the signs from there it will take you down to lake Windermere we always went back this way because the hills weren?t as steep and we had a pram, But there was also another way straight down to lake windermere that was all down hill we did also go this was several times. We also visited Ambleside this was a 5 minute drive right along the lake front so beautiful and peaceful. Our favourite places to eat were The magic round about, great cocktails and great food portions but you do need to book and Boaters bar if you went to the back you had an amazing view of a harbour and the lake. we also visited Beatrice potter world we went in the morning so there was no need to pre book. We were extremely pleased and we will be visiting again THANK YOU!
